Building Wire Cable is a general purpose building wire insulated, with polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and covered with a tough protective sheath of nylon intended for lighting and power.
circuits at 600 Volts or less, in residential, commercial and industrial buildings. The wire may be operated at 90°C
maximum continuous temperature in dry locations and 75°C in wet locations and is listed by UL Standards.
Features
Building wire cable has better electrical and physical properties than ordinary PVC insulated wire and cable: nylon sheathed wire and cable has better heat resistance, low weight loss in high temperature operation characteristics, can improve the instantaneous thermal overload resistance of wire, can slow down or reduce the escape or migration of PVC components.
Building wire cable has the characteristics of corrosion resistance, self lubricating and oil resistance. Compared with PVC insulated wire and cable of the same section, nylon sheathed wire and cable has the characteristics of small outside diameter, light weight, small static friction coefficient and corrosion resistance, which can improve the safety and applicability of laying.
Building wire cable is rated at 450/750V and is widely used in household appliances, aerospace systems, construction and lighting. The long-term operating temperature of the cable should be 90 ° C or 75 ° C, the laying temperature should not be lower than 0 ° C, and the bending radius should not be less than 4 times of the outer diameter of the cable.
CONDUCTOR
Conductors shall be solid , Class B or Class C stranded, annealed uncoated copper per UL Standards 83 or 1063.
Conductor type:flexible,standed or soild (class 1, 2, 5, and 6)
RATED VOLTAGEC
450/750V more than 1.5mm2 single core conductor
300/500V less than 1.5mm2 single core and multi-core conductor
300/300V less than 1.5mm2 multi-core conductor
COLOR OF INSULATION
Red, Yellow, Black, White, Green, Light Blue, Grey, Brown, Violet, Orange, Yellow/Green
Application
THHN/THWN/THW type conductors, in accordance with the National Electrical Code, installed through conduits, suitable for service in commercial/industrial systems, feeder and branch circuit wiring THHN type cables are suitable for dry environments where the temperature does not exceed 90℃. THWN cable is suitable for dry environment with temperature not exceeding 90℃, wet environment with 75℃ or oil/coolant with temperature not exceeding 75℃. Thwn-2 class cables are suitable for dry or humid environments with temperatures not exceeding 90 ° C and oil/coolant temperatures not exceeding 75 ° C. MTW cable is suitable for use in wet environment, in oil/coolant with temperature not exceeding 60℃, and in dry environment with temperature not exceeding 90℃ (limited to conductor carrying capacity of 75℃ specified in NFPA79). Awm-class cables can be used as equipment wires in dry environments where conductor temperature does not exceed 105 ° C and are rated at 600 volts.
