According to BS 5467, 0.6/1 kV XLPE insulated power cables are suitable for fixed laying on distribution lines or industrial installations with rated AC voltages of 0.6/1 kV and below; they can also be used on the DC line.
The conductors of the cable can be copper conductors or solid aluminum conductors. The number of cores can be 1 core, 2 cores, 3 cores, 4 cores, 5 cores.
The long-term allowable operating temperature of the cable conductor is 90°C; if a short circuit occurs, it shall not exceed 250°C.
The laying temperature of the cables should not be lower than 0°C.
Features
XLPE insulated cables have excellent electrical properties, mechanical properties, heat aging resistance, environmental stress resistance and chemical corrosion resistance, and are simple in structure, easy to use, not limited by laying drop, and have high long-term working temperature.
Application
This cable is suitable for fixed laying on distribution lines with AC rated voltage of 1 kV and below, and is used to transmit electric energy.
Construction

The cable conductor material consists of annealed pure copper or aluminum. Aluminum conductors are solid conductors. - Insulation
Insulation is extruded XLPE (Type GP8). - cabled
Multi-core cables are cabled with the cores using appropriate fillers to make the cable round. - metal armor
Metal wire armored galvanized round steel wire, single-core cable uses aluminum wire. - outer sheath
The outer cable sheath is made of PVC (Type 9).
